Cardiac Rehabilitation

100_1910Cardiac rehabilitation is a structured service for those who have suffered a recent cardiac event – it takes 5-6 weeks for the heart to heal after a heart attack. During recovery, it is important to rest and get a moderate amount of exercise. During rehabilitation we watch heart rhythm on a heart monitor while you exercise. We guide you through exercises to strengthen all of your muscles, including your heart. This comprehensive exercise program offers diagnostic treatment, behavior education and preventive services, leading to an improved quality of life achieved through education and exercise.

Our staff is certified in both Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). We provide both inpatient and outpatient services; outpatient hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm. To schedule an appointment please call the Cardiopulmonary Department at 320-564-6242.
