Each November, the Minnesota Home Care Association celebrates Home Care Month to raise public awareness of services available to our community. It is also a time to honor caregivers who make a difference in the lives of patients and the families they serve. Home care offers cost-effective personalized care in the comfort of the person’s home with a wide variety of services. Granite Falls Municipal Hospital & Manor has a home care team ready to deliver healthcare to clients within 30 miles of Granite Falls.
According to the National Home Care Association, 78 million Baby Boomers will soon hit retirement age, and many will need assistance to remain independent. Home care is an efficient way to care for patients with acute and chronic conditions while remaining in their home. Home care serves more than 11 million Americans and is not just for the elderly, but is for all age groups – especially chronically ill and disabled.
“We work hard all year round to make sure people know that support, comfort and respect are available,” said Jody Hempel, RN, Director of Home Care at Granite Falls Municipal Hospital & Manor. “During November, we raise awareness of the high-quality care we provide. We are proud to serve our community.”
